The Programs Committee brings fun and educational events to the Crofton Elementary School community. Some functions occur during the school day for students only, and others occur after hours at the school for the entire family.
Events this year include:
If you have incurred expenses for a PTA function, download the Check Request Form to submit the receipt(s) for reimbursement (PDF, 274K). Fill out the form and drop it to the PTA box in the teachers' lounge. Note that original receipts are required. The CES PTA treasurer will write a reimbursement check for you.
The PTA arranges and funds a variety of cultural and educational programs that are presented in school assemblies during the day. These fun assemblies complement and enhance the school's curriculum. Assemblies in past years have included local authors to kick off the Reading Olympics, a concert by a local musician, and a magician that teaches kids about mathematics. Approximately six assemblies are planned per school year.
All assemblies are free to students, being fully funded by the PTA.

The PAW Printers program - it stands for "Publishing Advances Writing" - is CES PTA's longest running program, with an inception in 1986. Students get the opportunity to write and illustrate their own, personal, published books. The project culiminates in a special night at the end of the school year, when the budding authors read their creations aloud to their classmates and families.
