Volunteer Opportunities

The PTA is already busy planning for another great year. There are many ways that you can volunteer and help out and we will have information available at Meet the Teachers, Back to School Night and in the back to school packets that will be sent home. We are hoping to fill several open coordinator positions before school starts.

Committees

Programs	Lisa Hogan and Sandi Ranck	Events and enrichment programs for the school community: school assemblies for students during the school day family events after-hours at the school like Haunted Halls in October, Holly Jolly Workshop in December, Family Fun & Game Night in January, and Movie Night in May STEM programs like NASA Club and the Science Fair enrichment programs like Junior Achievement, PAW Printers, and Destination ImagiNation
Volunteers	Tammy Taschenberger	Coordinates school volunteers for the beginning of school, copying, media center, health room, reading incentive programs, etc. Sponsors the New Parent Information Night in September.
Fundraising	Joan Renner	The fundraising arm of the CES PTA, including Spirit Wear clothing and accessories Ledo Pizza Nights Scrip cards Haunted Halls in October the annual Yearbook
Hospitality	Jennifer Wick	Hosts special teacher meals, celebrates staff birthdays, and coordinates refreshments at meetings
Membership	Carol Streeter	Membership drive, issues the CES directory
Communications	Kim Schmelzinger	Publicizes PTA events to the school and community. Duties include the PTA calendar maintaining this website front sign E-News email list monthly newsletter
Bylaws	ad hoc	Updates the CES PTA bylaws every three years, under the guidance of the CES PTA secretary
Legislative/Policy Issues	ad hoc	Tracks state and local legislation that affects the school community as needed
Teacher Representative	Tammy McCullough	Representative elected by the school faculty
