The Crofton Elementary PTA sponsors a number of events throughout the year. Plans are always underway for new and exciting events that are fun for your whole family – check back regularly for more information.

Science Fairs give students the opportunity to study a topic that interests them. Projects can be as varied as the students' interests, such as sports, music, art, rocketry, psychology, and computers. Through the projects, students will discover that science is found in every niche of the universe.
Students in Grade 1 through Grade 5 are invited to participate. Packets are available in the CES main office and are due back by January 29. Winners in Grades 3 through 5 will be invited to the Anne Arundel County Science Fair later this spring.
The entire school community is invited to the CES Science Fair on February 11 25. Come view the students' projects and be amazed!
A fun family night to come to school and play with your friends and family. Play on amazing inflatable games in the gym, try your hand at bingo and carnival games, share some munchies, spend time with friends and family -- what better way to chase away the Winter Blues???
Bring at least one board game, physical game, card game, or puzzle to share (be sure to put your name on the box!). Bring a snack or dessert to share with everyone; drinks will be provided by the PTA. Wear comfortable clothes and socks so you can jump on the inflatables.

Last year was such a blast, we're doing it again! Enjoy a family film at school, with a twist - it's a drive-in movie! Okay, it's a walk-in movie, but still. Bring your blankets and folding chairs, and enjoy a family film on a huge inflated screen. (This event is rain or shine: in case of inclement weather, Movie Night will be shown inside in the cafeteria instead.)

The Crofton Elementary School PTA is pleased to invite new parents to the New Parent Information Night. This evening is designed to welcome you to our school and assist you during your first weeks at CES. This is an adult-oriented night, different from the New Student Orientation in August that was geared toward your children. Whether your child is entering Kindergarten or you just moved to Crofton, we want to make sure you and your children get off to a great start!

While Back To School Night is sponsored by the school itself, the CES PTA is very active in support. BTSN is split into three sessions, so parents with up to three children at CES can visit classrooms and talk to teachers. Note: the presentations are for parents, and CES requests that parents make every effort to arrange childcare so that children do not attend BTSN.
The PTA sponsors a Back To School Night "Happy Hour" in the cafeteria afterwards. Learn about exciting PTA programs this year, sign up to volunteer your time and talents for the school, and meet other parents. PTA board members and program coordinators will be available to answer any questions. In addition, representatives from some non-school community events - like Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts - will be on hand.
The PTA is requesting donations of refreshments for our time together. Please bring items according to the first letter of your last name, and drop them in the cafeteria before making your way to the classrooms. After you have toured the classroom(s), come back to the cafeteria and enjoy!

Come have a monstrously good time at the annual Haunted Halls! We'll have fall-themed fun activities for the whole family! More details - including information on tickets - will be available in October.
Crofton Elementary is excited to announce the second annual Great Pumpkin Contest! Start thinking of your scariest, funniest, most creative ways to decorate your family's pumpkin. Pumpkins or any size can be carved, painted, and/or decorated. More information will come home in backpacks.

This fun-filled morning will start the holiday season with a jingle! Mark your calendars now, and then watch this space and your child's backpack for more information about this special free family event!
This fun-filled morning will start the holiday season with a jingle! Make seasonal cards and decorations for Crofton Convalescent Care Center and send holiday greetings to our Troops overseas. Enjoy a FREE light continental breakfast. Children will be able to make a festive craft to take home. The whole family is welcome to join in the fun, with bingo games, face painting, and a holiday sing-a-long. (Supplies and activities will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.)CES Spirit Wear will also be available for purchase, including the new CES bumper magnets.
